Playa Patzcuaro & Patzcuarito
Not far beyond the Gringo Hill area of Sayulita are two the rugged beaches of Playa Patzcuaro & Patzcuarito. With unpredictable waves that can sometimes hit short, it’s not recommended for long board surfing but it’s acceptable for boogie boards and short boards. From Sayulita, head southwest towards Monkey Mountain on the road to Punta de Mita, turn right at the first road and continue straight to the beach. From Playa Carricitos, an adventurous hike uphill through rocky cliffs also leads to these beaches.
