Chacala Beach

The Chacala Beach is a mile-long beach on the Riviera Nayarit in Mexico that borders and sustains the charming fishing village of Chacala, just 30 minutes north of La Penita de Jaltemba in Bahia Jaltemba Bay and south of San Blas off of Highway 200.  Known for its soft gold beaches and gently rolling waves, this curved beach is framed by low lying cliffs and tall palm trees.

Like the town, the beach is peaceful and unassuming – perfect for a leisurely stroll,  a refreshing swim,  or an inspiring snorkel on calm days at either end of the beach. The Chacala beach is now a Certified Clean Beach with beautiful white sand.

There are plenty of beachfront restaurants, and not so many vendors like some of the other Riviera Nayarit beaches.

Chacala is also know for its fun surfing in La Caleta, where surfers come from miles around.
